We Took a Stroll | Tucson Family Photographer

Like most days, yesterday ended with some triumphs, some insanity, and a spontaneous adventure.

Logan built his train table on his own! I honestly was blown away- that train set-up isn’t for sissies!

The kids had watermelon at lunch, which is a BIG fleepin’ deal in this house. It’s not like I ration it or anything either, they go crazy for it even if I offer it to them for every meal. It’s the simple pleasures, I guess! 🙂

It’s unclear to me, if this will be helpful or harmful to my children in the future, but I am a VERY spontaneous person. I don’t like planning- so I simply don’t. I get a rush from finishing something on time when I know I procrastinated to the bitter end. I don’t know why I am that way- just am. It isn’t uncommon for me to call up my husband at 4:30 in the afternoon and say, ” Hi Honey, wanna go to _______ for dinner, then take a walk over by____________?” I LOVE that my hubby is ALWAYS up for doing whatever I come up with too. I actually can’t think of a time he’s said no without a very good reason.
There are a few downsides to my unwillingness to plan, of course. I’m constantly trying to hang out with friends with little to no notice- and guess what? They have plans! It doesn’t bother me though, when people can’t make it, but I guess it would be nice for my kids to have friends to play with sometimes on our outings. 😉

Anyway, this particular evening, we ate downtown and walked around the streets. Somehow, we forgot to put Annabelle’s pants on- hmmm. Then, at the end of our walk, she had what I would call, “a blowout” diaper. Oh my! Chris went to change her and realized we didn’t have any diapers in the diaper bag, so she wore her shorts without one. (See, the hazards of no planning) I hoped she wouldn’t have an accident while stuck in traffic on the highway on the way home- and luckily, she didn’t!

It’s just another day in paradise, right?
