That Evening Walk…

where the sun was extra good to me. The temperature was perfect – the wind a bit unsettling, but welcomed nonetheless. The ominous clouds from a looming monsoon storm worked as an enormous diffuser.  The  diffused light was so warm.

I kept looking at the back of my camera. I may have actually gasped. The sun was all tucked into the Earth, resting on the horizon. I remember walking in and showing the images to my husband – I couldn’t wait to see them on my monitor.

And you. Sweet, sweet Annabelle. You were taking that doll baby for a walk in your sling (aka: grandma’s scarf) and telling me all the things mommies do for their babies. I could have stayed in that moment for eternity…
