Even before moving to Frankfurt, we had so many lovely adventures that I never got to share because the chaos of moving sort of filled my time and became our topic of choice for weeks. But in the midst of Chris moving before the rest of us and me traveling to organise and host the photography retreat, CAMP, we went on a lovely trip to Virginia to visit my sister and her beautiful family. It was the best summer I’ve had in years! It was full of everything I love; kids laughing, staying up late, nature, melting popsicles on the lawn, sprinklers on a really hot day, reading, good conversation, exploring new cities and eating with the people I love.
I wish I lived next door to my sister because I sure loved having her to talk with on the daily. She is my best friend and I miss her tons! Plus, I had my 4 wonderful nieces and nephews and her mostly-sarcastic husband to hang with as well.
And, did I mention that Germany won the WORLD CUP?! Holla! It was a summer to remember!
Because I have so many images from this two-week trip, I decided to blog them in 3 separate posts. Here is Part 1 of 3 of our time in Virginia.
