We are slowly collecting furniture and receiving boxes from Arizona which are filling the house and making it feel like our home. Although I’m really glad the kiddos got some time to settle in before they begin school, I am definitely feeling the boredom creep into our bones. They will have had 4 months of summer vacation by the time they start school and it’s a long time to spend even in a new city and with many new adventures to be had.
Here are a few shots I’ve taken over the past few days. This past weekend, we went to Karlsruhe to meet with our dear friends. We spent the day at a park with endless things to do and ate huge bowls of ice cream, sipped beer and watched the kiddos play in the fountain and on the grass of the beautiful inner city in Ettlingen.
This weekend, we’re looking forward to dining with our dear friends from Stuttgart and meeting their sweet little girl for the first time. Every weekend for the next several weeks are packed full with visits from friends and family. It’s such a pleasant welcome and so far, is making this transition easier on all of us.
One of these days, I’ll get into Frankfurt and meet some people in the photography industry I hope. I really want to begin doing sessions again. Each time I get an inquiry from a prospective client in Arizona, I feel a pang of sadness in having to refer them
elsewhere. (especially those birth clients). And by the way, does anyone know of a talented birth photographer who’s taking clients?
Till next time!
