2013 is gone and good riddance to it, too! It wasn’t the best year, in fact I’d say it was the worst, so I’m ready to move on! I have so many wonderful things happening in 2014 so I wouldn’t be surprised if it is one of the best years yet. I’m really looking forward to it! I’ll be making more templates for photographers, organizing a photography retreat, and offering more mentoring for photographers. Additionally, I hope to invite you all to the public viewing of the refugee photography project I’ve been working on. Hoping to complete this by June, so we can début it on World Refugee Day. I will also be featuring guest bloggers often who will offer their professional insights about all things birth, babies and families. I look forward to our first post soon!
In continuation to the original 10 on 10 posts I did last year with an amazing group of women, we are beginning a new journey this year with little to no confines to the rules of how and what we post. Collectively, we’ve agreed to build a new website showcasing each month’s work and devote the project to our day-to-day lives and/or as a creative outlet. The website is not quite ready to share, so this month we will continue with a blog circle.
I guess the only good thing about 2013 is that we ended it on a positive note. We drove up to Pinetop, AZ and spent our days playing board games, taking walks, building fires, snuggling, making smores, sledding, drinking hot chocolate and eating yummy food.
Then, on New Years Day while sledding, we had a herd of wild horses lope past us in such beautiful afternoon light. The year of the horse, baby! I’m stoked for 2014! Aren’t you?
