Kaleidoscope is derived from the Ancient Greek (kalos), “beautiful, beauty” (eidos), “that which is seen: form, shape” and (skopeo), “to look to, to examine.” Hence “observation of beautiful forms.”
We are a group of friends, moms, visual artists and photographers from around the world who are passionate about capturing images of the real, the messy and the magical-the wonder of the everyday. Like a kaleidoscope, our photographs are playful and experimental, ever-changing and infused with light and colour. Once a month, we assemble a single mosaic comprised of our collective pictorial tiles, one submitted by each of us, that reflect the shared meaning and beauty in our lives.
I love March in Tucson. March is one of the few months we have perfect weather, and by that I mean we aren’t melting or chilly. It’s too bad I didn’t have 31 photo sessions this month, because wouldn’t that be swell to shoot everything in the best month with the best weather and flowers…
I did shoot a LOT of personal work this month and many sessions for “A New Beginning”. We are almost finished with the project and there will be updates soon. In the meantime, you can head over to the info page and make a small or LARGE contribution so we can print these images for these absolutely deserving families.
Here is my collection of images from our day-to-day this month. It included; Logan learning to ride a two-wheeler, a spontaneous weekend retreat to Bisbee and Annabelle turning 4. It was an exciting month!
