In My Own Backyard | Tucson Family Photographer

It amazes me that driving for ten minutes in any direction from my home, leads me to something beautiful. Sometimes, the beauty comes from an ordinary place like Target. I love the symmetry of the aisles, the kids looking at themselves on “TV” when we enter the store, and the new Mom staring aimlessly at the baby shampoos while bouncing her baby rythmically in a sling.  Every once in a great while though, I find a special location that calls to me. It says, “share my beauty with others!” really loudly, or so it seems.

What I found  on Saturday was just that! It was an undeniably magical vista, dark blue monsoon sky, and a sunset-illuminated  dirt road.  We had picked a random road to follow until it dead-ended so I could get some shots of the kids riding their bikes with Chris. At the “dead” end, we discovered a tunnel that lead to the most beautiful view of the desert foothills! Not a dead end at all- more like bliss! I’ll let you take a visual journey of our evening because it’s an indescribable location! I need a family session there stat! I can’t let this place go to waste-it needs some camera love!
