While in Hawaii; we snorkeled, swam, drank, cuddled, read, ate, met with friends, laughed, observed wildlife, and rested. It was bliss.
We’ve been on a few ‘vacations’ since having kids, but let me just say that they were NOT vacations, at least not yet. Our kids are still pretty young, and I’d say ‘vacationing with young children’ is an oxymoron. I have no doubt we’ll experience a true family vacation at some point down the road, but for now I think it’s crucial for the hubby and I to make time just for us.
I am so grateful to have had these few days to reconnect and hang out with adults for a change. I came back refreshed and happy. I’m forever in debt to my mom for staying with the kids; I know that wasn’t easy. I’m also so happy to have met some wonderful friends while there too!
Here is a small glimpse of our trip. I didn’t bring my camera along that often. I do have some film to develop from snorkeling, which I hope to share soon.
