Around here

As we get settled in here, we’ve mostly been spending our time being ninjas and princesses, reading, drawing, walking and filling our home with furniture. We have one more week of vacation before the kids finally begin school and all I can think to do is nothing. We’ve had 4 good months of vacation and visited some wonderful places and people in that time, so I’m ready for it to end and soak up our last days of nothingness doing nothing at all.

I’m sure I’ll have some thrilling things to talk about once school begins, but it seems our lives here in Germany right now look pretty similar to our day-to-day in Arizona. The few things we do differently make a huge difference, however. We wake up later, eat yummier food and spend more time together as a family. That might just make all the weeks of packing, goodbyes and stress worthwhile. Just maybe.

Michelle McDaid - Europe rocks, doesn’t it? Love the photos of your son flinging himself around in the air. He’s awesome. But still my favorite is the one of him lying on the couch. Just beautiful composition and light.ReplyCancel

admin - Oh yes, it sure does! There’s something about an image of a 6-year-old boy relaxing and calm… makes me want to keep it in a bottle and store it up. 🙂ReplyCancel
