10 on 10 | October

We’ve had a relatively calm October, compared to October’s past. I’ve done fewer sessions and we’ve been diligent about not over-packing our weekends with this and that… just taking it slowly and enjoying the cooler weather. I took Annabelle to a park to see the ducks one morning and found her under this tree… it was so symbolic to me. She has so much growing to do and I can appreciate her littleness. I’m not in a hurry to see her grow, as I was with Logan. I was always anticipating his next best thing – guess that’s pretty typical with the first-born.

We decided last-minute to drop in on an Oktoberfest not too far from our house. It was their 2nd annual so we weren’t expecting too much, but we were so pleasantly surprised. We sat in a lovely courtyard listening to really awful German folk music, eating kraut, brats and Spaetzle. We drank beer and watched the kids running through the light beams. It was a relaxing afternoon and although I got the stink eye several times and a crying outburst from my super tolerant 3-year-old on the way home, I had a great afternoon with my family.

Happy Fall, Everyone! Now grab your pumpkin spice latte’ and  follow along the circle to enjoy the talent here. We’ll start with the absolutely fantastic, New York Lifestyle Photographer, Candy Kempsey!
