10 on 10 | March

I may be alone in thinking it (although I seriously doubt it) but my home is intentionally never a place of orderliness. In fact, as much as I try to convince myself that it should be important to me, I just know that deep-down I don’t care. The days when I find dirty feet prints on the carpet and gobs of red toothpaste in the sink are the ones that make me happiest. I live for traces of my children all over the house. Partly why I dig being a part of the Kids Were Here project.

For my 10 on 10 this month, I’m sharing a few faves from the past few weeks. No particular rhyme or reason. Remember, I like disorder.

Yeah, and I need to get some photos in those frames…

Go on and visit the great work of Bee Chalmers Photography next.

Michelle McDaid - Something about the empty photo frames on the wall spoke to me in so many ways. It’s hard to fill a photo frame of today’s pictures when you’re sure – as a mom and as a photographer – that you need to leave space for the pictures of tomorrow. It also speaks to me about where you’re at right now, living in a different country and perhaps not entirely emotionally committed to that. Love these, as always. I am your biggest fan.ReplyCancel

Janine - These images have a light, carefree feel to them. I like the idea of loving the little ‘marks’ of where the kids have been – I can’t say I always love the little messes they leave. Sometimes I do think I’ll miss those things when they are grown. XReplyCancel
